If a kid sets an object in the milk crate, legally picks it back up but drops it back into the crate, is that object still live, or is it dead?
It is still alive. As long as everything else up to that point has been done correctly. Item K2 - if it is dropped back into the crate while on the way out it is okay. If they drop it on the way in before the prosthesis breaks the plane of the crate it is a dead object.
If a kid knocks a previously finished object off the table or out of bounds while setting down a new one, does knocked off item count against them?
It does not count against them as long as they had previously set it down correctly.
We were wondering if we could use the arduino to program the ATTINY85, an integrated circuit and use it on our arm. We will still be using the arduino program and components but the arduino board itself won't be present on the arm. Is this a violation of the rule 2C even though the integrated circuit is basically a smaller version of the arduino?
As long as it uses Arduino, it is okay.
Can a button be used to start the device at the begginning of a task? And then pushed more than once to pick up an object?
The method for device activation is not specified by the rules so the use of button is allowed as long as all other rules are followed.
